"El" of a Game (Get it? "El"? Instead of "Hell"?)
Just a quickie post this morning, as I'm out in PA to attend my future sister-in-law's high school graduation. I didn't see an inning last night, but from updates on CBS Sportsline it looked to me like Duque was in total command. The DBacks suddenly look lost since this whole Grimsley mess (I predicted that yesterday - go me). Funny stat I read this morning - this is really the Mets' second complete game this season. Yes, the record books count Trachsel's four-inning rain-shortened masterpiece in Philly. What a crock.
Finally, check out Deadspin, who appears to have found out some of the blacked-out names on Grimsley's affidavit, including Pujols' trainer. Hoo boy. Talk about a "say it ain't so" moment. Let's just hope the Mets can grab a quickie WS victory before the entire game goes down in flames.
